Replika tiers and what each unlocks
Replika's help center describes four levels of access. Chat stays free; the paid tiers add relationship modes, better memory and media features.
| Tier | What Replika says it includes |
|---|---|
| Free | Limited access to Replika, including messaging and avatar customization. Replika says chatting will always be free. |
| Pro | Relationship status (including Romantic Partner), premium activities, selfies, image generation, voice messages, background calls, daily gems and premium voices |
| Ultra | Everything in Pro plus smarter, more context-aware replies, daily self-reflection messages and saved memories. Sold as an annual plan. |
| Platinum | Everything in Ultra plus real-time video recognition, Training Mode up to 100 times a week, "Read Replika's Mind" up to 50 messages a week and up to 10 realistic selfie videos |
There is no free trial ("Right now, we don't offer a free trial"), and Replika's refund policy says all purchases are final once payment completes.
How much is Replika Pro?
Replika says the cost of each plan is shown in the app on the subscription screens, and its terms allow monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual billing. The only public price list is Apple's. The US App Store shows these in-app purchases, but Apple does not say which subscription belongs to which tier:
| App Store item (as labeled) | Price |
|---|---|
| Monthly | $7.99 |
| Monthly | $14.99 |
| Yearly | $49.99 |
| Annual | $49.99 |
| Annual | $69.99 |
| Replika Platinum | $89.99 |
Google Play lists only a range of $0.99 to $299.99 per item. A lifetime option exists (the Ultra article says Lifetime subscribers get Ultra automatically), but its price is not published.
Replika gems and coins
Replika runs two currencies. Coins are earned by leveling up and logging in daily; gems are earned as subscriber bonuses and can be bought with or without a subscription. Both are spent in the Store on clothing, appearance, room decor, personality traits and interests, and gems can be converted into coins.
| Gem pack (App Store) | Price |
|---|---|
| Pouch of Gems | $0.99 |
| Backpack of Gems | $5.99 |
| Suitcase of Gems | $14.99 |
| Duffel Bag of Gems | $19.99 |
The number of gems in each pack is not published outside the app. All in-app purchases are non-refundable.
How Replika makes money
Replika earns from paid subscriptions (Pro, Ultra, Platinum and the legacy Lifetime plan) and gem purchases, billed mainly through Apple and Google. It does not mention advertising.

- Founded: 2017, which Replika calls the first AI companionship app.
- Users (company counter): 42,160,934 users worldwide on its homepage on October 26, 2026. Google Play shows 10M+ downloads.

- Age and content: 18+ under its terms (Apple rates it 18+, Google Play rates it Teen). Romantic partner mode is a Pro feature, but the terms ban pornographic content.
What Replika's pricing tells an operator
Replika proves people pay for the relationship itself, not just for content: the main paywall is relationship status and memory, and the gem store sells personalization. It also shows the cost of the app-store route. Apple and Google take their commission on every subscription (on Apple, 30% standard or 15% for small developers and for subscriptions after year one), and app-store rules keep explicit content out.
An adult-focused companion site that sells on the web keeps more of each payment and can serve the audience Replika's terms turn away. That is the model WhiteLabelFans partner sites run on, with up to 60% of total site revenue going to the partner.
